Pricing & Variants

At launch, Ultraviolette is offering an introductory price of ₹2,49,000 ex-showroom for early buyers. After that, the base price will rise to ₹2,74,000 ex-showroom. The introductory pricing is limited to the first 1,000 customers. Alongside standard variants, the company also launched a Desert Wing edition with exclusive sand-colored visuals and touring accessories.

Battery, Range & Performance

The X47 offers two battery packs: a 7.1 kWh unit for everyday usage and a 10.3 kWh variant for more range. The smaller pack delivers a claimed range of 211 km, while the larger pack stretches that to about 323 km under the IDC testing cycle.

Performance is peppy: the motor produces approximately 40.2 bhp and 100 Nm (610 Nm at wheel), allowing the bike to sprint from 0–60 km/h in ~2.7 seconds and 0–100 km/h in ~8.1 seconds, with a top speed of 145 km/h.

Charging is made easy with an integrated 1.6 kW onboard charger, eliminating the need for a bulky external charging brick. The charger is designed to handle voltage fluctuations and works efficiently even under high ambient temperatures.

Advanced Rider Assistance & Safety Tech

One of the standout features of the X47 is its HyperSense ADAS suite, powered by a 77 GHz rear-facing radar. The system monitors a 150-degree blind-spot field up to 200 meters, providing alerts for lane change hazards, overtaking vehicles, and rear collision warnings.

In addition to radar, the bike supports dual dashcams, with front and rear cameras (1080p, Sony sensors) integrated into the system. The secondary display above the main instrument cluster allows riders to review footage. The system supports onboard storage (32 GB default) and expansion up to 256 GB.

Other safety features include switchable dual-channel ABS, multi-level traction control, dynamic stability control, and multiple levels of regenerative braking.

Design, Chassis & Ergonomics

Built on a modified version of the F77 platform, the X47 features a more relaxed steering rake (24.5°), designed for balanced handling. Ground clearance is improved to 200 mm, and suspension travel is extended to 170 mm front and rear for comfort over uneven roads. The seat height is set at 820 mm, balancing accessibility and adventure capability.

A new cast aluminum subframe adds structural rigidity and also supports mounting options for luggage. The chassis is built with a dual-cradle steel frame that accommodates the battery pack with good balance.

Demand & Market Response

The X47 has received strong market interest. Within 24 hours of booking opening, Ultraviolette reported over 3,000 orders, prompting the extension of its introductory price offer to the first 5,000 customers. The company has set a bold target: to sell 10,000 units in FY26, up from just over 2,000 units in the prior year.

What It Means & Final Thoughts

The Ultraviolette X47 Crossover represents a new chapter for Indian electric motorcycles. It brings high-end technology — radar, dashcams, dual battery options — into mainstream EV pricing territory. Its performance figures, feature set, and design ambition suggest it’s built not as a niche machine, but as a genuine step forward in electric two-wheeler maturity.

For riders seeking a next-gen electric bike that combines usability, safety, and spirited performance, the X47 may be a compelling choice. The success will depend on real-world reliability, delivery execution, and after-sales support — but the promise is strong
